As much as I hope and pray for accountability and justice to be served, those with money, power, and white (orange?) skin will always get away with crap.
In a speech designed to portray his intentions to run for president again in 2024, former President Trump referred to the LGBTQ+ community as “sickos sexualizing our children.” A reference that fuels the fire behind book bans, “don’t say gay” bills, the forced putting of children in the school systems, and the direct harm to trans individuals nationwide.
While a book discussing penguins’ two dads causes this upheaval, a man that has stated he would sleep with his daughter, and talks about grabbing women by their pussy, is perfectly acceptable by his supporters. Can we say pot calling the kettle black?
In the four years that former President Trump was in office, we saw instability, indecency, discrimination, and ableism become a norm due to his lack of filter. People throughout the nation now justify death to all homosexuals. They preach this in Sunday sermons. They politicize religion and call America a Christian country. They speak of rights but understand nothing of what the constitution stands for.
Just as with the Bible, the constitution is cherry-picked to suit the bias and views of the individual/group weaponizing it. All the while, they neglect or refuse to read and consider the entire document.
The entirety of Trump’s followers are members of a cult. Let’s look up the definition of a cult.

So before I get arguments about it not being a cult. People are idolizing a man (great veneration); they are falling for lies, manipulations, ignoring signs of lawlessness, contradictions, and falsehoods, And purchasing merchandise to idolize a person (great veneration). There is no denying that the following that has amassed behind trump has evolved into a cult following.
Before I get too sidetracked with my disdain, I want to focus on the purpose of this blog.
This blog highlights the inconsistency and hypocrisy being followed and spread through hate.
We must recognize that we pick and choose what rules and regulations we want to follow. In Christianity, verses are cherry-picked to fit an agenda; poems are changed to accommodate specific political schedules.
In Trump and his followers, we see similar attitudes. We know the accusation of the LGBTQIA2S+ community being “Groomers” and “Sexual Deviants,” yet it is perfectly ok for a Man to say that he is going to grab a woman by “their pussies” or that he would sleep with his daughter.
In this case, sexual assault and incest are condoned, while the simple act of existing in a heteronormative world is ostracized, criminalized, and discriminated against by community members.
We need to be sure that our friends, families, and peers are not only registered; but also get out to the polls and cast their votes to prevent the continued spread of hate in our country. https://www.vote.org
